BIOGRAPHY
Professor Dr. Ozan Seymen Sezen was born in Ankara. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty in 1993 and became a medical doctor. He is married and has a daughter.
In 1996, he passed the examination for specialty in medicine and started his specialization in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. During his specialty training, he gained experience by working on the anatomy, diseases and surgery of the ear, nose, throat, neck, and face area.
In 1998, he worked in Michigan University School of Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Clinic, which is considered as one of the clinics with the best training program among the universities that specialize in this field in the United States.
He completed his specialty training in 2000 and became an Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Specialist. In 2001, he started to work as a Chief Instructor (trainer specialist) of 1st Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Clinic at Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital, where he is currently working. During this duty, he constantly gives scientific, practical, and surgical training to assistant doctors, and gives Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery courses and practical training to medical faculty students.
In 2007, he received training in nasal plastic surgery and facial plastic surgery from the leading surgeons in the field of nasal plastic surgery and facial plastic surgery in the United States of America.
In 2010, he received a certificate of qualification by passing the otolaryngology qualification exam. In 2012, he passed his exams and became an associate professor of Otolaryngology. As a result of written and oral exams in 2012, he was awarded the European Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery qualification certificate. In 2014, he completed his 1-year facial plastic surgery training at the facial plastic surgery school.
In 2013, he was appointed to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital Otolaryngology Clinic as a training officer. In order to serve his patients in a better environment, he resigned from this position and started working in the private sector.
Prof. Dr. Sezen has scientific studies and articles published in local and international Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery journals.
Prof. Dr. Ozan Seymen Sezen is particularly interested in nasal surgery, facial aesthetic and plastic surgery, snoring and sleep apnea surgery. Throughout his professional career, he has applied much more than that of an average otolaryngologist in terms of endoscopic sinus surgery, snoring and apnea surgery, nasal aesthetics (rhinoplasty), mouth and throat cancer surgery and ear surgery.
